Antique French Louis XV Triple Armoire is a majestic example of one of the most recognizable French styles extant, influenced by both the Baroque and the Rococo to produce the artfully scrolled lines and lavish naturalistic carving that define the genre.  The triple arched crown was fashioned en arbalette to resemble an archer's bow, and features bold molding to provide a fitting top for the case work below.  Three doors are framed by a bonnet that follows the crown's contours, with subtle foliate embellishments that are complemented by the carvings on the rounded corners.  Even the stiles between the doors have been embellished with the same motifs.  However, it's the two tiered carved excellence of each door that immediately captivates one's attentions.  Fine French scrollwork abounds in the framework, raised panels and of course the lavish carved detail glorifying natural floral and foliate forms.  Each door is hung on externally mounted brass hinges so the doors swing wide open for easy access, with cast brass key guards adding a nice touch.  Inside, one finds four surfaces and three shelves on the right compartment, and a hanging rod arrangement spanning the interior of the remainder of the space accessed by the center and left door.  The center door even has a full length dressing mirror inside for your convenience!  Three spacious interior drawers also are fitted in the bottom for storage options.  Four lions' paws provide support below and even the sides are fitted with framed raised panels for lovely visual appeal from all angles!
