19th Century French Louis Philippe Period Cherry Wood Buffet represents the epitome and subtlety of the genre, rendered in solid old-growth cherry wood left in its original coloration which has achieved a lovely aged hue with patina.  The solid plank top is framed with rounded corners, and appears over the serpentine top tier which contains two spacious drawers, each accessed with cast brass lion's head ring pulls.  The two cabinet doors below are framed in tailored molding, open without a center stile for unimpeded access to the spacious interior, and are fitted with book-matched panels accented with cast brass key guards.  A tailored base molding underneath is supported by six corbel-style decorative accents on the feet for visual appeal from all angles.  Note the hand-chamfered and hand-hewn panels in the back assembled with pegged mortise & tenon joinery indicative of the highest quality traditional craftsmanship!
