19th Century French Louis XVI Demilune Mahogany Marble Top Buffet is a remarkable work of the cabinetmaker's art!  Requiring an expert design as well as craftsmanship, it features a fully curved casework in a demilune form that presents no corners or sharp edges into the room at all.  Hand-crafted from exotic imported mahogany, its neoclassical design includes intertwined laurels across the entire top tier, punctuated by two bold rosettes carved in full relief.  The rosettes appear atop fluted pilasters topped with acanthus plumes that flank the pair of doors which open to reveal capacious shelved storage.  Each door features a rounded, raised panel accented with louver motifs and a single cast brass key guard, with all four exterior panels designed to accentuate the natural beauty of the wood.  A multi-tiered base supported by tapered legs is centered with an acanthus flourish.  Topped with richly veined marble that has been contoured and beveled to match the casework below, it will provide decades of enjoyment for your family!
