19th Century French Louis XVI Marble Top Buffet in Stripped Oak is an intriguing design conceived during the early years of the Art Deco Period, with broad, arched aprons and tapered, faceted legs supporting the casework which features a broad, elegantly arched bow front design with step-front cabinet configuration under the rust colored marble top.  Carved embellishments are indicative of neoclassicism, favored by Louis XVI and his court, with ribbon and floral garlands dominating the relief carving on the three door panels.  Carvings on the pilasters complements the doors, and extends part of the way down from the top molding just under the marble.  Cast brass bale pulls and key guards were avant-garde for their time, and add a luxurious touch.  Doors and drawers open wide to reveal capacious storage, and the entire architecture of the design arches back towards the wall to make it very traffic friendly for any room.  Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the patina and sheer natural beauty of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.
