19th Century French Louis XVI Marble Top Display Buffet is a remarkable example of the cabinetmaker's art! Hand-crafted from dense, old-growth oak and given a lovely walnut finish, it can serve as a display platform, a serving surface, a storage cabinet, and a display cabinet all in one! Luxuriously veined beveled marble on top follows the contours of the subtle step-front casework below. The center doors are visually striking with full relief carved detail depicting heraldic crests, florals and foliates. Flanking on both sides are drawers with carved detail, and display cabinet doors underneath the drawers with six panes each. Bold molding completes the architecture, with finely detailed cast bronze key guards as an added attraction.
