Antique Country French Louis XIV Walnut Marble Top Buffet represents the sophisticated side of the genre, executed in sumptuous indigenous French walnut for an unmistakable presence. Designed with a particularly versatile size, it features luxuriously veined rouge marble with multiple bevel levels. (Note in the photos old chips that add charm and antiquity)
The top tier consists of a brace of drawers beautifully carved with stylized foliates and shells, and fitted with intricately cast bronze bale pulls with urn motifs, complemented by the crest style key guards. Even the rounded corners are carved, leading the eye to the fully finished and molded sides, which make this selection attractive from all angles. The main cabinet doors continue the style motif, also fitted with elaborate key guards and flanked by carved, rounded corners, all leading the eye down to the exquisite contoured apron lavished with a scallop and foliate cartouche. Support is provided by four scrolled legs carved with acanthus plumes and tipped with cloven hoof feet. Doors open wide to reveal capacious storage in the bargain!
