Antique French Louis XIV Marble Top Buffet

Antique French Louis XIV Marble Top Buffet is the perfect size for a cozy room a niche, or any place where a sophisticated example of the furniture maker's art is desired!  The casework was hand-crafted from old-growth quarter-sawn oak, and features a subtle bowfront design with chamfered panels on the sides that create visual interest from all angles.  The resulting serpentine doors are beautifully carved with a stylized floral bouquet surrounded by foliate scrolls and set upon an intricately molded frame above a contoured raised panel.  The doors are fitted with brass key guards and external brass barrel hinges to allow easy access, and are framed on each side by rounded cornerposts carved with complementary motifs, an apron below with elegant contours embellished with shell and acanthus plume carvings, four cabriole legs, and finally a luxuriously veined contoured and beveled marble top for the perfect finishing touch!
