Antique French Louis XV Dessert Buffet

Antique French Louis XV Dessert Buffet is a paragon of the cabinetmaker's art!  Hand-crafted from solid oak, it features a diamond parquet top with extended and rounded corners overlooking a stunning facade which features a large central cabinet flanked by three drawers and an open display cubby on each side.  The drawers are festooned with scrolled molding trim then centered with cast bronze Rococo-inspired pulls.  The display cubbies are framed with asymmetrical carved trim, and both sides are framed by the rounded, carved cornerposts.  The central cabinet door features regal carvings of stylized shell and foliate motifs surrounding the raised panel and accented with a cast bronze key guard.  Even the scrolled apron features carved complementary accents, and is supported by carved, scrolled legs tipped in escargot feet.  Note the attention to detail with raised & recessed panels even on the inside of the cubby holes!  The back shows more of the same with chamfered solid oak panels indicating an incredibly high level of quality to last for centuries!
