Antique French Louis XVI Mahogany Buffet with Carrara Marble boasts all the timeless classical architecture originating in ancient Greece and Rome, but adds touches of French flourish for a special look.  Utilizing exotic imported mahogany, the artisans created the rectilinear casework featuring four drawers and four doors for capacious storage in style.  The drawers are adorned with Greek coin motif, which continues on each side, and the doors are trimmed in restrained molding and brass accent molding, which is also continued on the sides.  Defining each of the four compartments are protruding rounded columns with fluting, each topped with an acanthus flourish capital in solid brass, complementing the brass tipped feet on the tapered legs below.  This beauty is also topped with luxurious Carrara marble which has been beveled and contoured to follow the rounded shapes of the columns below for an elegant visual effect.
