Antique Liegoise Louis XIV Step Front Buffet in Stripped Oak is just what we've come to expect from the storied region of Liege, where quality items of all types have been produced for centuries!  This example, rendered from old-growth quarter-sawn white oak, features a stately architecture.  Its design cues and carved embellishment were inspired by the Louis XIV style, and feature a variety of flowers, foliates and shells hand-carved in bas relief across the entire facade, even on the mitered corners of which there are four, including the stepped front center section.  The step-front design provides visual intrigue from all angles, and the specific dimensions belie the actual impact on your floor plan, as the recessed side cabinets allow more freedom of movement around the piece.  Cast brass drawer pulls and key guards with brass hinges add a nice accent.  Doors and drawers open to reveal a cavernous interior, making this as functional as it is beautiful to behold.  Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary, non-toxic process that retains the natural beauty and patina of the wood.
