Antique Liegoise Louis XIV Style Buffet in Stripped Oak is a superlative example of the artisanry and craftsmanship that have been hallmarks of the region for centuries!  Created from indigenous old-growth white oak, it features a step-front design that creates visual interest from all angles.  Three drawers across the top add functionality, but the center section only appears to be a tier of vertically arranged drawers ~ it's actually a cabinet door!  The base creates a stylish yet very solid foundation, and is adorned with shell and floral carved accents, separated by a meticulously contoured tier of molding from the cabinetry just above.  The cabinet doors, rounded cornerposts and faux-drawer cabinet door are all carved with stylized shell, floral and foliate motifs which are complemented just above on the actual drawer tier, which is again, separated by another contoured molding detail.  The complexity of the molding tier on the top itself is a marvel of cabinetry, and it too follows the complex contours of the casework to create a visual spectacle that all can appreciate.  Using our proprietary methods, the finish has been gently stripped off leaving the natural patina of the wood for a soft, contemporary effect, with grass hinges and keyguards acting as jewelry for this amazing example!
