Grand Antique French Louis XV Serpentine Walnut Marble Top Buffet is a truly artistic expression of the style, rendered on a larger scale for larger rooms!  Although it is almost 9 feet in width and almost 2 feet in depth, it takes up a virtually smaller footprint thanks to the serpentine side cabinets which cascade away from the main front creating "softer" corners.  The casework is a cabinetmaker's masterpiece, with the aforementioned serpentine side doors flanking in essence a three door buffet stepped out across the center, for five total cabinet sections.  An undulating apron below supported by scrolled legs carve with acanthus plumes and escargot feet and centered with shell and foliate embellishment, creates a visually alluring base for the cabinetry above.  All five cabinet doors are adorned with fancifully scrolled molding around raised panels and carvings of foliates and shells in the asymmetrical manner that defines the Rococo style so favored by Louis XV.  Each door is flanked by carved posts or pilasters which extend to the upper edge of the cabinet, with three subtly carved drawers at the center, each fitted with silver velvet and cast brass pulls which match the keyguards and hinges below.  Doors and drawers open to reveal cavernous storage that could house your entire family's collection of stemware, dishes, serving pieces and flatware.  On top is a finely beveled piece of luxurious Sienna marble, intricately contoured to follow the complex lines of the casework below for the ideal carefree yet opulent finishing touch!
