Grand Antique French Louis XVI Mahogany Marble Top Buffet a l'Etrusque will add classic elegance to any room on a large scale.  Crafted from select imported mahogany, hand-crafted brass and luxurious Carrara marble, it stretches just over eight feet in width.  Elongated, tapered and fluted legs reduce its visual mass for a more refined effect.  The Carrara marble has been beveled and contoured to follow the casework below, which features a step-front center section and flared sides, with rounded corner posts on all four corners.  The corner posts also feature gold-highlighted fluting just like the elegant legs below.  Just under the marble are four drawers encrusted with bold Greek wave motif cast in brass, each of which opens to reveal capacious storage.  Below, four cabinet doors are outlined in brass molding, and open to voluminous storage compartments with original shelves featuring inlaid fronts.  A brass panel spans the entire apron in sections, sporting a grooved, jaloused finish which is complemented by the corner post treatments on all corners.  A magnificent work of the cabinetmaker's art!
