Grand French Louis XVI Mahogany Round-Sided Buffet with Carrara Marble is a magnificent example of the classical revival that occurred mid-20th century in France. Featuring no less than five drawers and five cabinet doors, it boasts broad radius curved sides to lessen the impact on the room's visual aesthetic as well as traffic flow. The right door opens to reveal three surfaces, while the left rounded door opens to reveal a mirrored and glass shelved interior, perfect for a mini-bar or stemware. The three cabinets between open to provide cavernous storage. Drawers are all lined in felt, with the outermost pivoting open. Architectural relief is provided by columns in front that separate the rounded cabinets from the main center section, with cast brass capitals and rings to provide elegance, blending perfectly with the brass key guards and ring pulls with guards on the drawers. Even the tapered legs have brass collars for a touch of elegance. The luxurious Carrara marble top has been beveled and contoured to follow the form of the casework for a final touch of visual flair. Certified NF meaning (responsibly obtained mahogany).
