Grand Mid-19th Century French Louis XIII Buffet

Grand Mid-19th Century French Louis XIII Buffet is a masterpiece of cabinetry, designed to last for centuries!  Hand-crafted from dense, old-growth French white oak, it features a flared drawer tier that creates a crown effect on all three sides, and incorporated into the tier are the three spacious drawers framed by foliate bas relief carvings on corner and center corbels.  The mitered corners extend down to the subtle base molding, with molded feet for support.  In between are the three stately cabinets, carved with finely molded raised panels accented with triangular rosettes and surrounded by multiple layers of frame molding.  Foliates and flowers appear in bas relief also on the mitered cornerposts and two center stiles.  The oak has been painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process to reveal a subtle texture to complement the extraordinary natural hardness of the wood.  Brass hinges, key guards and the center drawer pull only add to the elegance and sophistication of this superlative piece.
