Pair 19th Century French Henri II Walnut Buffets are excellent examples of the style, which blends stately neoclassical architecture with stylized naturalistic embellishment for a distinctively French look!  Hand-carved from select, sumptuous French walnut, each features a boldly molded top tier accented by three corbels, the outermost of which are carved to depict lions' heads.  Two drawers with heavy cast brass pulls are blended into the molded detail.  Below the drawers are spacious cabinets fitted with doors intricately framed and carved with stylized urn and foliate motifs in relief, set upon octagonal raised panels with foliate flourishes on each corner.  Boldly molded base completes the visual appeal, and the doors and drawers open to reveal cavernous storage.   Ideal as "his & her" sink basins for the bathroom; shortening each requires removing the bun feet below which is a simple and straightforward process.
