Pair Antique French Louis XVI Mahogany Buffets are a spectacular find!  It is not common to come across "identical twins" in this business, and this pair is ideal for creating a symmetrical design feature in any room.  The stately, neoclassical architecture is a hallmark of the style, with an upper drawer tier on each fitted with two drawers flanked by carved rosettes, and simply trimmed and centered with finely cast brass bale pulls.  A tier of spiral ribbon molding separates the drawers from the cabinet doors below, which are flanked by bell flowers carved on both sides of the corner posts, then framed at the bottom with a tier of egg & dart molding.  The doors themselves feature carvings of floral wreaths and swags held with flowing ribbon, with an astragal carved with quatrefoil overlay.  Cast brass key guards complete the look.
