18th Century French Louis XVI Period Commode in Stripped Oak is a masterpiece of neoclassical architecture, style and flair!  The staid, rectilinear design includes a solid plank top with defining molding around the perimeter to create a crown effect over the casework below.  Each cornerpost on the front sports fluting and wheat reeding towards the base.  Behind the cornerposts are tailored and finely molded raised panels on the sides, helping to create visual appeal from all angles.  The main facade, however, steals the show with each drawer finely trimmed in wheat bordering, with raised panels accented with rosettes on each corner, and fitted with finely detailed cast brass pulls and key guards in the neoclassical theme.  A single large rosette appears on the stepped apron below as a nice finishing touch.  Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary non-petrochemical process that retains the natural beauty and patina of the wood.
