19th Century French Louis XVI Grand Painted Dresser ~ Commode ~ Wardrobe is truly a remarkable find!  Just over five feet square, it's only 16" deep making it an ideal storage piece for any size room, especially high traffic areas.  The two cabinets on each side feature shelving for folded clothes or other items, while the center is dominated by six drawers, although for visual effect the bottom drawer is double height with two drawer facades on the front.  Carved with classic urns, garlands and ribbon, with the side cabinets featuring an oval placed on a lattice backdrop, it features fine molding detail highlighted in gold and cornflower blue, which accentuate the cast bronze key guards and drawer pulls.  The painted finish is visually appealing, and has achieved a lovely patina over the decades.  Supported by a classic carved apron with rosettes and tapered & fluted legs.  An instant closet for any room, crafted in unmistakable French classic style!
