19th Century French Louis XVI Walnut Marble Top Commode is an exceptional example of the furniture craftsman's art!  Hand-crafted from select French walnut, it is topped with luxuriously veined marble for carefree elegance.  Below, the casework features spiral ribbon trim defining the three full width drawers and the two lingerie drawers, all fitted with finely detailed cast brass ring pulls.  On each corner appear tapered, spiral fluted and carved columns providing a framework for the facade.  Such a piece was considered indispensable during the Belle Epoque, and remains so today!
