Antique Country French Louis XIV Commode ~ Chest of Drawers in Stripped Oak was hand-crafted from solid oak and accented with cast brass drawer pulls by obvious master craftsmen!  The top features an elegantly contoured form that defies the rectangular norm, carefully double-beveled and blending in to the casework below which follows the same subtle contours.  Fully framed raised panels on each side boast cross-hatching, and transition into the massive rounded corner posts which have been carved with shell and foliate designs.  The main facade features three large full-width drawers carved with the same theme and fitted with the aforementioned brass pulls as well as finely cast key guards, all in solid brass.  Around the apron, we see crosshatching, a scrolled base, and even carved accents at the center.  Lions' paws serve as the feet.  Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the patina and sheer natural beauty of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.
