Antique Country French Louis XIV Walnut Marble Top Commode

Antique Country French Louis XIV Walnut Marble Top Commode will make a splendid addition to any room!  Combining the charm of Country French flair with the regal nature of Louis XIV styling and ornamentation, it features a subtly bowed front which is reflected in the 3cm richly veined beveled marble top, providing carefree elegance.  On each side appears solid walnut raised panels with French contours accented by the front cornerposts which are rounded, subtly carved and fitted with scrolled legs tipped with escargot feet.  The most amazing carved detail appears on the gently bowed front where the three full width drawers have been lavished with shells creating a crest at the center surrounding cast bronze key guards, from which emanate elegant scrolls with foliate flourishes that encapsulate the luxurious cast bronze pulls.  Below, a beautifully scrolled apron is adorned with a bold scallop shell with foliates for a finishing touch.  Together with the aforementioned sides, this piece is gorgeous to view from all angles!
