Antique French Louis XVI Mahogany Commode with Carrara Marble is an unusually elegant example of the genre!  The luxuriously veined Carrara marble on top makes for the perfect display surface.  Directly underneath, the top tier is extremely tailored which enhances the natural beauty of the exotic imported mahogany even more, and accented by Romanesque forms on the corners, repeated on each side as well.  A cast brass trim molding separates the top tier from the two bottom drawers, which are also defined by brass trim, then fitted with brass ring pulls and key guards.  Brass rings and foot tips also adorn the tapered legs.  A perfect example of understated elegance!
