Antique French Louis XVI Mahogany Commode with Carrara Marble Top

Antique French Louis XVI Mahogany Commode with Carrara Marble Top is truly a classic!  Inspired by the architecture of the ancient Greeks and Romans, this piece was crafted from fine imported mahogany, and features three full width drawers combined with the amazing luxury of a Carrara marble top with beveled edge and rounded corners to provide carefree elegance in an incredibly neutral tone!  The rounded corners are extended in the casework below, which flank the drawers with three-quarter fluted columns, transitioning to tapered and fluted legs below fitted with brass feet.  The drawer facades are outlined in brass quarter-round molding, then fitted with cast ring pulls with guards complementing the finely cast brass neoclassical key guards at the centers.  Even the sides are enhanced with brass quarter-round trim, and the quality of craftsmanship is evident in the dovetailed drawer joinery.  The understated elegance of the combination cannot be denied!
