Location: Dallas
An elegant pair of antique French Louis XVI Transitional end tables, finely crafted in richly figured walnut and mahogany veneers with contrasting satinwood inlay. Each table features a serpentine-front case in a kidney form fitted with three graduated drawers adorned with ornate cast brass pulls and decorative gilt-bronze mounts. The sides display beautifully matched veneer panels framed by delicate banding.
The tops are fitted with luxurious white Carrara marble surfaces surrounded by pierced brass gallery rails, adding both refinement and functionality. Raised on slender cabriole legs mounted with bronze and terminating in gilt-bronze sabots, these tables embody the graceful blend of Louis XV curves and Louis XVI neoclassical detailing characteristic of the French Transitional period.
Richly detailed and exceptionally decorative, this matching pair serves equally well as side tables, bedside chests, or accent pieces in traditional, classical, or eclectic interiors.
Circa early 1900s
Each measures 29H x 20W x 15D
