Vintage French Louis XIV Linen Press ~ Silver Chest is an ingenious combination of a cabinet and four drawers, making it ideal for any room!  Designed to hold either silver or small linens like placemats and napkins, it also provides a convenient additional surface.  The gadrooned top edge with foliate corners overlooks the facade with scrolled drawers on the left and a full length cabinet door on the right, all of which have received the attentions of the wood sculptor with stylized shell, and foliate carvings, themes repeated on the undulating scrollwork of the apron below which is supported by two scrolled & carved legs.  Solid cast brass pulls on the drawers complement the detailed cast key guard of the cabinet, which is mounted on brass hinges.  Crafted from solid oak to last for generations!
