19th Century Bronze Casting of Lion's Head was created to adorn a wall fountain, with the spout emanating from the lion's mouth.  The rich patina of the bronze is reminiscent of the beautiful statues of Paris, where an architectural accent like this would decorate the garden of a lavish manoir or townhome.  The artistry is magnificent, presenting a very realistic image in three dimensions of a proud lion, representing power and strength for the equally proud owner.  Retrofitted in the last 50 years to hang as a wall ornament, and ideal for outdoor spaces like patios or the garden, and can certainly be returned to its original use and purpose!
