Pair of French Napoleon III Period Louis XVI Bronze Candelabra were created during the middle of the nineteenth century with exceptional quality and neoclassical refinement. Each candelabrum is beautifully cast with five candle arms, an urn-form center, and a finial designed as a classical urn with flame and garlands. The design is further enriched with fluted column supports, acanthus leaf detail, beaded borders, and graceful draped swags so closely associated with the Louis XVI style.
The bronze has wonderful weight, depth, and a warm, time-softened patina, giving the pair both elegance and presence. With their balanced proportions and classical decoration, these candelabra bring the romance of candlelight and French neoclassical design to a mantel, buffet, dining table, or console. A beautiful pair with the formality of Louis XVI taste and the richness of Napoleon III craftsmanship.
