19th Century French Louis XIV Walnut Marble Top Nightstand was crafted from select French walnut and features an elegant yet somewhat restrained design that will add subtle distinctiveness to any room!  Originally designed for the bedroom, since it is finished on all four sides it also makes a great choice as a side table companion for any seating group.  The main facade boasts a full width drawer with turned & carved knob set upon a bas relief carved background, with the cabinet door below echoing the simplicity, enhanced by subtly scrolled molded detail.  The remaining three panels are recessed and molded with a tailored effect, and on each corner appears supports that extend from the top to the feet, carved in between with foliate, acanthus leaf and escargot motifs.  The subtle undulations of the apron have been finely molded with a modicum of carved detail on the facade.  Door opens to reveal a marble-floored interior.
