19th Century French Louis XVI Walnut Marble Top Nightstand is an exquisite example of fine furniture craftsmanship, rendered in sumptuous French walnut and Carrara marble to provide beauty and enjoyment for decade after decade!  The beveled Carrara marble top follows the contours of the casework below, which is slightly oversized compared to most nightstands.  A full width drawer appears under the marble, with two more below.  In between, a drop-front door reveals the marble-lined cabinet.  The door is lavished with the torch & quiver of arrows, classic and timeless symbols of the French monarchy.  Neoclassical architecture defines the casework with the center facade flanked by fluted pilasters, corbels and rosettes.  Finished with framed chamfered panels on the remaining three sides, it is even a good candidate for placement in the middle of the room, and makes a great seating group companion!
