Pair 19th Century French Louis XVI Oval Marble Top Nightstands in Stripped Oak are perfectly suited to be bedside companions, but because they're finished all around and oval in shape, they make great end tables in other rooms as well.  Topped with honed marble, each features finely molded detailing with the focal centerpiece being the classically-inspired bas relief carvings on the cabinet doors.  One door is left-hinged while the other is right-hinged.  Cast bronze bale pulls in a wreath motif access the curved drawers.  The cabinets open to reveal porcelain lined interiors, and oval shelves below are framed by the tapered and fluted column legs carved with acanthus volutes and tipped with brass wheels.
Circa 1890s
