Pair Antique French Directoire Mahogany Marble Top Nightstands are the perfect choice for a cozy bedroom, or as companions to your seating group!  Hand-crafted from exotic imported mahogany, each is less than 10" deep making them compatible with many intimate settings.  The rectilinear architecture, inspired by classical Greek and Roman designs, includes  tapered and fluted legs and full width shelves on each piece.  Rather than cabinets, the pair were fitted with two drawers each, trimmed in quarter round brass molding and fitted with cast brass knobs.  A brass gallery rail has been set around the Carrara marble tops which provides a little security along with the carefree elegance of the honed stone.  Brass quarter round trim defines the side panels as well, with even the backs finished for placement in the middle of the room if so desired!
