A fine pair of French Louis XV style antique nightstands crafted in oak and topped with beautifully shaped Carrara marble. The warm oak has developed a rich, natural patina that complements the pale marble, while the restrained carving and curved lines give the pair the unmistakable character of French Louis XV furniture.
Each nightstand is designed with a fitted upper drawer above a paneled cabinet door, providing convenient bedside storage. The drawer fronts are simply molded and fitted with brass pulls, while the cabinet doors feature shaped raised panels characteristic of the Louis XV tradition. Carved foliate details accent the lower corners of the cases and flow naturally into the long cabriole legs. The scalloped aprons complete the design without making these wonderfully versatile pieces overly ornate.
The Carrara marble tops provide a refined finishing touch and make these antique French nightstands particularly practical beside a bed. Finding a true pair is always desirable, and their narrow proportions allow them to work beautifully even where bedside space is limited.
