Pair Vintage Italian Painted Marble Top Nightstands are an ode to the Romantic Age, with beautiful, curvaceous form enhanced with slender, subtly scrolled legs, cast antique brass accents, and hand-painted scenes of lovers in classical poses on the fronts.  Set upon an almond colored overall background, each side is framed with foliate bordering, with the majority of the color enhancement reserved for the raiment on the lovers.  One one nightstand, the suitor is picking flowers, while on the other, his lady is holding a full basket of flowers and striking a pensive pose.  The paintings appear atop two drawers on each piece, accessed with cast brass pulls.  Each is also topped with contoured and beveled Sienna marble for a complementary and neutral carefree surface.
