French Renaissance Prayer Bench, ca. 1850s, is the perfect piece to complete your devotional area.  Exquisitely hand-sculpted cabinet door features with angels in glorious full relief overlooking a symbol for the Holy Trinity with a sunburst pattern in the clouds of Heaven, it is also trimmed in lavish hand-carved bordering with carved corbels, flowers and acanthus plumes on each cornerpost.  The Bible compartment under the elbow pad is carved with grapevine motif, and lifts up to reveal storage for your Holy books.  The cabinet door with the aforementioned angels also opens up conventionally for more storage.  A unique feature of this special piece is the kneeler, which tucks in for a relatively shallow profile, then slides out when ready for use so that one can place a cushion on it for comfort.  See video below!
