19th Century French Renaissance Dessert Buffet in Stripped Oak will make a great addition to a cozy dining room, behind an executive desk, or anywhere a convenient and stylish cabinet with surfaces is needed.  Hand-crafted from solid oak, it features raised shelf above the cabinet surface, adorned with a gadrooned edge and fitted with a finely sculpted backsplash with lion's head, scrollwork and foliates.  The upper shelf is supported by uprights in the back carved with overlapping Greek coin, and turned urn forms serving as columns in the front.  The two surfaces resulting in this design make for convenience in use, especially combined with the surprisingly capacious cabinets below, which are flanked by finely carved cornerposts and fitted with center panels carved with an elaboration on the backsplash theme above.  Bun feet provide support (wheels appearing beneath in some photos are furniture dollies).  On the right side a tin-lined ice bin has been fitted for serving cold beverages, making this a great mini-bar par excellence!  Professionally stripped by our expert in-house staff to retain the natural beauty and patina of the wood!
