18th Century Rustic English Colonial Cupboard ~ Sideboard with Plate Rack is a classic example of the genre, built to last for centuries from dense, old-growth oak and constructed using time-honored techniques passed down through the generations, all hand-crafted with care!  One immediately notices the plate rack above, providing three total surfaces onto which a family could display their finest china and porcelains, while the everyday and additional serving pieces found plenty of storage room in the spacious cabinet below.  The design allows almost complete use of the serving surface, with little feet on each end to add stability.  The crown above is actually a structural element, with tailored molding above for a wonderfully quaint finishing touch.  Three spacious drawers accessed with brass bale pulls, and three surprisingly capacious cabinets below, accessed with brass knobs, combine to provide plenty of storage possibilities in style.  Each door features a simple arched panel artfully raised & recessed into each door frame for a colonnade effect.  Tailored base molding completes the no-nonsense look.
