Antique Country French Vanity ~ Dresser

Antique Country French Vanity ~ Dresser is a marvelous example of purpose-built furniture designed for the well-appointed interior!  Serving capably as a writing table when closed, one cannot suspect its total design features without closer examination.  Two deep drawers on both sides provide ample storage, and the center section tilts up to reveal more storage and a makeup mirror.  The understated elegance of the lines and carved ornamentation result in a sophisticated Country French look, with shell, scrollwork and foliate motifs in bas relief appearing on all four aprons which themselves are very subtly contoured.  The aprons meet with four cabriole legs accented with complementary carving and cloven hoof feet, with the piece finished on all four sides so that it may be placed anywhere in the room one so desires.  The stripped old-growth oak results in a soft, naturalistic visual allure that works with a wide variety of decors.
